Agents Bar is on hiatus

Why hiatus

It barely started and now I'm forced to move Agents Bar on an indefinite hiatus. There are many feelings associated with this move and sadness is the strongest as I truly enjoyed working on it. Hiatus, however, seems to be the best option for clearly separating intellectual property in case of joining another company. It also leaves the token unclosed, requiring revisiting and reviewing it in the future with, likely, a different perspective.

There are a few reasons why I'm joining a company, this particular company. I won’t list them here. All in all, I believe that this is a great opportunity for me to grow in skills that I haven’t had a chance and polish those that I think I'm good at.

What it means

What exactly does the hiatus mean? It means that I won't be able to work on my proprietary code. That’s the core service responsible for managing all micro-services, scaling them, properly integrating with one another. However it leaves me free to work on open source parts including deep reinforcement learning packages and clients. Some might argue that these are the cool parts of Agents Bar but I'm one of those weirdos who finds beauty in proper integration. It’s the boring stuff that makes the cool stuff much cooler.

Things will change but things won't stop. Hopefully.
